I have outdoor patio screens and use this App to control them, but very often it does not work, although it appears as though it has worked from the App itself. The โbuttonโfeels as though it was activated when I tap โOpenโ or โCloseโ and the picture then indicates that screen has either opened or closed, when in actuality it has not. When at home, I am then forced to locate the original remote control to operate the screens, which isnโt an issue; just slightly inconvenient. The problem is, when I am not home and become aware of a weather situation (high winds, snow, etc.), I need to either open or close them while Iโm away, and I never know if it has worked. Iโd estimate it doesnโt work from my phone App about 30% of the time, so it is rather unreliable.
Well, I was very frustrated at first with the new app because it was different and itโs not as user-friendly initially. Once I got the hang of it and understood how to use it. Iโm loving it. The biggest reason I like this app more than the old app is because you can now raise and lower groups to all stop at the same time and be level instead of having to do that individually. That was a much needed update as before if you wanted everything to stop at the same level midway, you had to use the remote and whatever was programmed to that remote. Since we have multiple different groups, it was not cool that I had to raise and lower certain groups individually. The new app fixes that. I still wish there was a way to program groups to raise and lower at a certain point instead of having to go all the way open or all the way close. Maybe a future update will allow for that.
We had very expensive roller shades put in, all motorized. The motors we got were not compatible with Apple HomeKit at the time of install so weโve had to use this app extensively. Itโs fairly straightforward to use, but setup was a nightmare. Took multiple attempts before it connected with my hub unit. The big complaints we have are that 1) you donโt have great scheduling capabilities. Iโd like to be able to schedule non-smart home compatible rollers. If the app can tell it to go up and down, why canโt it tell it to go up and down at set times? 2) it would be great if the screen that shows you all the roller shades together on one screen could allow you to open and close them with one tap. I want to be able to see all 6 of my motors in one screen and tap them to go up and down. As it is, you have to dive into a third layer to open and close each one and that extra layer is pointless.
