This app helps you track your own recovery and sleep. My favourite tool is the sleep measure, which helps you to track and reflect on your sleep patterns, good or bad, providing a graph so you can have a visual, as well as useful feedback, that lets you compare over time enabling you to make changes in your life.
This app has been developed alongside people in recovery from alcohol and other drugs. It’s so refreshing to have the authentic voices of people with lived experience seen throughout the measures and helpful advice in what to do in case of an opiate overdose (see the section on naloxone). From my own experience recovery from substance use is not straightforward, it’s been described as a long and winding road. I feel that the features on this app would allow me to have a compass to help me navigate the difficult times.
This app is powerful, it gives you the tools to take a moment for yourself and think about your own wellbeing in your own time. I don’t have to wait for a dr, substance use or mental health professional to get advice and support I need the minute I need it. So often the motivation to reach out is gone by the time an appointment comes along. The diary function means I can li my feelings and remind myself of positive things when I have no one to talk too and a reminder I have had dark days and have come through them in the past. The reading and advice provided - the links to places that can help - are invaluable.
