I used to love these and recommend them to everyone. Not anymore. All 3 feeders stopped working and I got stuck talking to a tech support guy who clearly doesn’t understand technology. Buy Petlibro instead. I have 3 Connect feeders. One for each cat. The scales aren’t perfect and I’ve always had small issues from time to time. Annoying for the price, but they got the job done. All of a sudden yesterday, all 3 of my feeders stopped working. None of them will open when the cats try to eat. Tried resetting them, but that didn’t actually reset them. Tried deleting one to re-add the feeder, it won’t connect to the hub even though it’s online. Called support for help, and after repeating the issue several times, I was told that the sensors on all 3 feeders stopped working. All at the same time. The chances of that happening are so rare. When I asked how that explains why the 3rd one won’t connect to the hub I was told the same sensors for the microchips send signals to the hub. That’s not how it works but the guy refused to believe me. Whatever issues is happening is software, but I was basically told all 3 feeders went faulty at the exact same time and they couldn’t help me. My units are less than 4 years old. I guess I’ll just have to manually feed my cats until the new Petlibro feeders release because I’ll be switching companies. TL:DR - software malfunction happened making 3 feeders stop working. Was blamed on the sensors and told they couldn’t help.

I absolutely love to see how often my cats come and go. It’s a huge help to relax when I’m away for longer stretches when I travel for work. But, the connecting terminal, the little WiFi repeater it comes with, frequently looses connectivity to the cat door even though it’s within line of site and no more than 30 feet. Maybe it would work better if it were right next to it, but since it must be hardwired, that’s not an option. Recommend the company create a device that connects via WiFi so it can be closer, and if that’s not the issue, then figure it out and make it better. Also the door doesn’t let me select which cats I want to let out, it lets anything out which is a problem for me now that I have a new kitten who went into heat early, and lastly the door goes nuts when I put in certain new batteries.

Only reason I give three stars is because while the door works very well, the app and ability to customize is absolute garbage. The only problem I have with the door is that one of my cats microchip must be located further back from its head which results in it having to squish itself against the door before it unlocks. For my other cat it unlocks as soon as he puts his head in the tunnel. As for the app, I want to be able to set a curfew schedule that still allows pets to enter the house. There is a feature to set the door to indoor only which allows pets to enter but you cannot do this using the curfew feature. Because the app is so spotty I never want to try to turn off the curfew and update to indoor only when away for the house because there is like a 30% chance the signal goes through. And also there is another 30% chance the receiver (which is right next to the door) is actually connected and will tell me if my pet entered (I have 1 gb wifi ). I’d feel much more safe knowing my pet can get inside after the curfew even if I’m home about an hour or two afterwords instead of trying to turn the curfew on and off.
