For $10, I figured I could waste the money if it lived up to its pathetic reviews, and it did! The main issue was no text appeared in the pop-up dialog boxes, so you didn’t know what the buttons were controlling. I dunno if the foreground color was the same as the background color or the text simply was missing, but this makes it very hard to configure anything. At the time of this writing, there were sixteen 1-star reviews and one 3-star review. Clearly, this is why. Using 5.004. If they fixed this background/foreground issue, it might actually be a useful program. I did try to send my project to the cutter, but the software froze at that point. Maybe I didn’t have something set right, but how could I tell when you can’t read any text labels? I can’t even believe this passed Apple’s QC scutiny much less the developer’s.
After reading all the horrible reviews I was extremely hesitant but gave it a shot. I think I’m glad I did but not 100% sure yet. It seems to work great with my iPad so far. Only issue as of yet is I forgot to save my work earlier before trying to export. I should have known better. During export it hiccuped and would not restore my work. I’m not having near the issue the other reviewers have had though. If you are used to Sure Cuts A lot 5 on pc there will be no learning curve whatsoever. All icons and menus are in the exact same locations and serve the same functions. I almost feel it’s easier to navigate and operate than on PC. One issue I do have is menu options being the same color as the background so they can’t be read. Again if your accustom to SCAL5 this isn’t a deal breaker because you probably know what it says anyway but I would love to see this fixed. Fix these couple of things and I will bump it up to 5 stars.
I paid for this app and it doesn’t work it keeps kicking me out I can’t go back to what I was working on it wont allow me to export my project this app seems like it would be great if it worked you guys need to do better fix the bugs I would really like my money back since it doesn’t work your only getting one star because I have to put something
