I was surprised at how interactive Super Teacher is - and it definitely helps my 7 y.o. grandson pay better attention. His mother homeschools him - but I use this as reinforcement and just fun! In fact, I have learned quite a few things about our states. Bummer: they don’t have the state of Oklahoma yet and I’m sure all 50 states aren’t represented. I DO follow along with him - each subject is short and succinct w/an opportunity to continue on w/further learning of that subject - OR to re-do it entirely. He really enjoys seeing the progress “stats” and the emails I receive when he finishes each lesson. I can sense when his attention span is waning - so I keep this as low pressure, but as exciting as I can. BONUS: The DRAWING lessons. We draw them together - and his finished art is always better than mine!
I give this app 5 stars. The reason why is because I used to have a hard trouble on division. So, once I saw the ad of it I immediately got the app. I had to setup and account first then I got to chose the grade level I was in. And it popped up a bunch of math problems for my grade level. So each lesson is about 1m to 15 minutes. The thing I like about it is that it tracks the progress, helps you if you get it wrong, talks to you and you can talk to the tutor, and it also shows how many minutes the lesson that you chose is. It also gives you an option if you want to practice more by printing a sheet out from the lesson or if you want to do an another lesson. So, that’s why I give it 5 stars.
I have been approved for something called an OrCam my eye, and this will really be helpful to help me to learn how to read print and how to recognize print. It’s going to be great for that. I am myself having to learn early great concepts that I was not taught in, the same way as the visual person. At the school where I went to as a kid. I was never taught in a visual way and so I’m having to learn that now as an adult and this is a really helpful tool. Please add special education resources. or make a special education version of this I think a good suggestion if you were to make a special education version would be for the nonverbal person to click on the picture on the screen, one of three choices, to answer the question. Or click on one of the three or four possible multiple-choice answers on the screen, when asking questions what I mean is my ideas to use a system where you just tap on the answer for kids with special needs or look at the answer with their eyes if they can’t use their hands. If that’s not possible, it would be nice to have a read to me option for people with special needs for some of the reading comprehension books. Honestly, I love the variety of lessons and how well thought out this is. I also love the interactivity of this app compared to other apps that I use and not having to drag pictures to certain parts of the screen. I liked that you get clear directions and it has, a lot of great stories that it tells it does in the preschool sections all the subjects at once in one lesson. That’s my favorite part about this. I can even use it to help other people at school with their goals as well where I go to now. I can help some of my friends who are, lower functioning that are in wheelchairs. And get them to interact more. It’s very useful and I don’t know why this didn’t pop up and suggested activities for me sooner. Amazing app. Thank you for creating this wonderful app.
