StormTracker 6 - Weather First

This update seems to cause emergency alerts to be very slow to post to the top of the page, and also removed the extended info about them from the bottom of the screen (at least I haven’t found them). The ability to create a map with overlays is clumsy, and you have to specifically select it each time you open it (my experience). Interesting that two supposedly competing weather stations have the exact same app, just rebranded. Not liking the update.

I use this weather app on my phone because it provides me the most accurate forecast and weather tracking of all the weather apps that they use for hurricanes down here in Florida. I ran hurricane response teams for 19 years. This app was by far, the best. Other teams that used different apps have now changed to the Weather 6 app. THANK YOU.

I upgraded to the latest version a few days ago. Big mistake! Layout changed greatly, mostly to put ads front and center. Yes, now several sub-screens have a blinking/ flashing 1/2” bar in the middle. Large button bar at the bottom, instead of smaller hamburger menu. Just wastes space on my already small Mini. A re-design for no good reason. Also, whenever I update the app it turns verbal warnings back on, also iOS pop-ups about trivial weather or “rainy weekend ahead”. Of course the verbal alerts only go off at 4AM. Really I was surprised how good the previous versions were! I would have gladly paid $5 to turn off ads. I would say they have paid paradise and up a parking lot here. The Apple weather app has been getting better, maybe one more version and it will be all I need.
