It should be illegal to have ads running on the site with all of these fake x buttons and tricks to try to get you to purchase another app. There really is no other way to exit them except to close the program. I spend all of my time trying to get to the actual game. I probably would pay for it if there weren’t so many scams for purchasing as well. It’s like a lawless wilderness of scams on Apple App Store and it’s a wonder why we download any of them at all ever. I may as well bring an actual deck of cards with me so I never have to download another game app again. I am rating this higher for nostalgia of a different time when the internet was scammed in different ways but my solitaire app was tried and true (& also came free with my computers).
When I was just a young lad on me grandpas windows 98 pc I played this as my toes snuggled against the orange shag carpets. I had no clue what I was doing then but now I do because I’m not a feeble minded 10 year old child. I am still able to live out a piece of the nostalgia through this game.
Such a nostalgia rush! There are two Win95-styled Solitaire apps currently in the App Store, and both are very good, but I prefer the stark, uncluttered simplicity of this one. It also has the better, more tactile sound effects. I also appreciate being given the option to go ad-free. Small price to pay for an app I’ll be playing every day! Update: Got my first ads AFTER buying the app, and “restore purchases” apparently does nothing. It wants me to purchase the app again! Such a bummer!!
