I’m shocked reading some of the negative reviews. I have been using this now for 3mo this while traveling Europe (usually solo with my 4 young children). So reliable service was a high priority for me as we have already traveled to 12 different countries. I have had amazing service all through central and Eastern Europe, even in very remote spots. When service was poor, I was usually able to retrieve it after driving a few miles (as we are doing a lot of road trips). Data is simple to reorder- I am using exclusively pay-per-GB and do seem to go through it fairly quickly when my gps is running (as assumed). In the future I may try the monthly unlimited but this plan now is so reliable I’m going to stick with it for the remainder of my trip. Customer service is amazing, friendly, helpful and very proactive! As a family we now have 2 Solis Lites with the travel cases. They are lightweight, easy to pack, easy to put into purse or even pocket and we have now used both in about 17 countries combined! Would recommend Solis to family and friends..10/10.

Our theatre department bought several of these to pass out to our actors so they could have reliable internet for recording our shows in Zoom. For the most part, they’ve worked really well. One actor is having issues getting a video that doesn’t freeze or run behind the sound. It’s intermittent and we’ve been able to work around it. SkyRoam support has been really helpful and quick to reply. I have the hotspots linked to one account. This allows me to manage their data and keep them full of high speed. The app makes this super easy. Overall, very pleased with the full experience of the SkyRoam. It will make this year much easier.

I bought the Skyroam Solis X due to living in an area in the USA where I am not able to get internet service due to being in a bad spot. I get plenty of cell service, so that isn’t an issue. When I first turned the Solis X on, the lights didn’t want to become static. The cell reception light even turned red. After using my cell data to look up the answer to this issue, I followed the instructions that asked me to go outside for better connectivity. The lights finally went static and I was able to connect my cellphone and computer. I found that Skyroam provides a single free day pass for new users to try out the service. I was thrilled!! It seemed like such a lovely thing for them to do. However, after activating the free day pass, I found the internet connection on my phone to be very slow, and on my computer to be spotty. Sometimes, internet browsing pages would be fine. Other times, they wouldn’t load due to an error despite having loaded before, and other times it would tell me I didn’t have internet service despite the Wi-Fi connection being full and steady on my computer. Using my data for answers again, I found that it could be the connectivity of the day pass. I plan to try a GoData Monthly plan tomorrow and we’ll see. However, I am extremely unhappy with the start of this service.
