The overall app is great but the tracker needs to be addressed. I love using the timer/stopwatch feature to keep track of how much or how long I am chanting for. My frustration is when my phone turns off or goes to sleep after a while and the app refreshes and I lose my progress. It would be nice to start the timer or stopwatch and just have it keep going regardless of the status of my phone. I mean I get the battery dying and completely shutting down but when it’s still on? I will dedicate five or ten minutes of focused prayer while my screen shuts off to save battery only for me to check where I am at and the app has refreshed. What? Am I doing something wrong maybe? If I really want to start my time over I can hit the reset button. It’s so frustrating and also distracting while I chant. Please please please address this. The iphone timer/stopwatch app is awesome in this regard, anyway to incorporate some of the features?
I would first like to start off bye saying Thank you so much for this app. I feel so fortunate to have all things sgi ant my fingertip and use the app constantly. However, I would like to respectfully make some suggestions. 1) I wish there was a way to stay logged in and not need to enter password every time. 2) also if we could stay logged in I also would suggest the member ID to be the default home screen. We are trying to use the ID verification at the toban desk at the community center and MANY members are having a hard time accessing their ID especially out Many Treasures members. 3) daimoku and gongyo are kind of slow for me. I see the need for slower settings, but faster options would be awesome!!! I would like to chant with the app in the car but it’s much too slow for me. Again, I’m not complaining and I am soooo appreciative for the app. Just my humble suggestion.
This new version is so completelyFascinating. I am so impressed that we could find all of the information that we’re looking for about this Buddhism was in the app. In addition we can chat with it which is been great for young people. Coming from Santa Monica the headquarters of the SGI USA. Then moving to the smallest chapter in the entire country and being married to do chapter leader, I find this application will help her to motivate the new members and even the older members if they can use the technology where I had to give one last star. I also believe that this application should have a place where leaders can at least Indicate where we will have our next customer for gone girl in which the chapter they’re in. Meaning that this application needs a GPS and the ability to track the people who are using it. There will be a time we will face challenges with other negative people, as we did many years ago when we were exile by the priesthood. Those things and seem to matter now that were in 2019. However it is a history of the SGI am that we need to remember where we came from. I get so busy people who are practicing will actually use all of the information Available on this application. I am so excited to see how well it performs. Thank you to the people who Have worked so hard to make this happen.
