There is nothing unique about this app that warrants charging money. It is so glitchy that it will kick you out of the app at random. You will have to try multiple times to submit your forms. You will be shown dozens of class actions that you are not eligible for. You will waste more time trying to confirm your eligibility then it would take to find these on your own with Google. Pretty much all of these class actions require you having an email or a letter meaning that you would have already known about this. And the kicker is that their refund policy is created to scam you of your money— they tell you if you haven’t received payment to cover the cost you will be refunded. They don’t tell you that you cannot be eligible until a year passes. They also do not tell you that regardless of the access you give them to your personal email and a lack of eligible class actions, you will be denied your refund for “not doing enough”. Keep in mind that I communicated proactively to understand what was needed to qualify and there is no information provided that I had not already done. Btw, the timeline also falls out of the 3rd party refund policy timeline for Apple and any payment method— intentionally creating a loophole that prevents you from getting your money back.
Only rated this 5 stars so it would pop up. I had to pay for a YEARLY subscription to their service before I could even see what I was eligible for & that’s basically nothing for my state. Then they don’t have the actual forms for the class actions on the app.. you still have to click out and go fill the information in every time. And for the ones that have applied to, the app provides NO updates… so I canceled my subscription… now I can no longer login when I’ve previously had no issues.. my subscription works until 02/27 but I can’t login in anymore..? I can’t wait for the class action for this scammy app. Not to mention the app was for applying to class actions & now all of a sudden they’re changing it to some financial savings app.. y’all baited and switched … we signed up for an app that provides us CLASS ACTION LAWSUITs were eligible for… your company made us pay for a yearly subscription to now change the app… DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME.
Downloaded the app due to the ratings and reviews. Was only presented with a couple options - all said i was eligible. Once getting into it a little bit, it was determined I was not actually eligible and had wasted my time and money. Cancelled my subscription the same night and reached out to inquire about a refund seeing as my expectations were not met, the options given were not actually applicable to me (required living in New York or Las Vegas and I had only used it less than an hour. They let me know that Apple would be responsible for refunding the subscription. Reached out to Apple which is just a whole mess of itself but they denied my claim 2 times and just had a conversation with Neha who yet again did not help me with a single thing. She did let me know that it was automated decision and there was nothing they could do about it. I asked her to specify why the request was being denied and she said she was not able to go into detail about their process and/or how they came to this conclusion. She did send me a link to leave feedback on the experience though! Just reached out to SettleMate again to see if they are willing to give me a refund or not - will update once I know more. I don’t know but as of right now it seems like the perfect scamming partnership is happening between Apple & SettleMate! Please just avoid it as a whole and if you choose not to heed my advice, may it go better for you than it did me!
