SeaBattle: Warships Puzzle

After years of enjoying the battleship games in a magazine, I was happy to find this wonderful app! The app is great in its simplicity and love playing it. Once I reached the “Medium” difficulty level, the games became really challenging for me, so much that I thought I needed to make guesses to solve the puzzles. BUT if I really study the layout and keep going over the grid I eventually work out the logic. I just LOVE this game.

This is a simple app that does just what I want. Gives me a lot of the battleship games I love in puzzle books on my iPhone. You get the first couple of sets for free, then sets of 50 games are available for a reasonable @$2. Games within each set are clearly rated by difficulty so you can pick sets with the level you want to buy. If you get stuck on a puzzle, you can press on a ship in the legend at the bottom of the screen to get a clue.

This isn’t one of the best games Conceptis has to offer. In fact, I can’t really understand why this has a higher rating than Pic-a-Pix. Good game, nonetheless. I don’t spend money on games in general but I buy puzzle packs for Hashi and other Conceptis games because I appreciate that these are high quality games and there’s no nonsense involved. These are some of the most interesting puzzles out there to solve, and there isn’t a constant stream of disruptive ads ruining the experience. If you love this game, throw them a couple dollars once in a while (you can restart packs and get a lot of plays out of them before they become too familiar).
