Screw Cat:Cat Jam Puzzle

Overall it’s a cute game. I like the art and the overall game. I downloaded it because I play box cat jam and it looked similar. That’s where it really ends. The lives never refill. It always says offline but get constant ads. So your option is watch a bunch of ads to refill or spend the coins you’ve gained. It’s not a problem if you are on a roll and winning but any level that requires you to think moves ahead get challenging. Especially when you have the timed bomb cats. I’d rate it higher if the life meter worked right. Also the cat can unlock be upgraded up to two donut rings. Now the grey coins just add up with no use. Not sure how long I’ll keep playing as I’m getting pretty annoyed with this issue. It would also be helpful if the lives displayed differently when you have infinite bonuses. It would help if it also displayed while in a level. As of now if I’m not sure if I’ve lost the bonus I just exit the level to not waste a life. You also lose lives if you don’t reset the level with the bonus on which seems like a flaw or bug.

A few recent reviews mentioned that they couldn’t get to level 102 because of a glitch, and some others said that there were few enough ads to make it enjoyable. There has since been an update which nullifies both of these points. The first brief 20 levels there weren’t that many ads. The more you play, the heavier the ads get. If you enjoy ads, you’ll love it. Go ahead and opt in for the extra prize ads (ex: 100 extra coins if you watch an ad) because you’re going to end up bingeing that ad momentarily anyway. There are ads within the ads, like Ad-ception. And not just a half minute of sitting through it. These are ads you have to click through about 6 consecutive times to get back to the game—and then there’s another mini-ad! Bonkers. I did make it past level 102. There a high potential for cuteness. But I’m uninstalling it because I’ve made these devs enough ad revenue to send theirs kids on a cross-continent ride in an American ambulance. (If you know, you know)

This is basically a typical screw puzzle game, but with cute cats. So far, I’ve made it to level 40, and I have seen no evidence of what the other reviewer described—the game suddenly quitting after a certain level. The game has an average number of skip-able ads, plus 30 second ads to earn extra coins. The game is pretty skimpy on coins though, considering how many coins it takes to purchase a single power-up. (C’mon developers, you could at least give us 15 coins after each level!) The levels aren’t super easy, and the hard levels seem challenging enough for me. All-in-all, I think it’s a pretty good game!
