I love this game. I’m currently at level 393 and have not made any in-app purchases. The people that say some levels are impossible are misleading. They are “super hard” and require A LOT of tries to get them right. They even have walkthrough videos online to help you if you get stuck. I will say, there are some levels that have weird “physics”. The sand will fall inconsistently. For example, I will have a row of red at the bottom. But the row is very thin, so I’m able to get the blue from above it. Then, once the blue is gone I think I can reach the yellow just above the red, however the game doesn’t register the yellow to be collected even though the blue was collected just fine. The only suggestions I would give that could make this game better are to offer ads for free coins, and optimize the physics. The bad reviews are from people without patience. I’m very patient and try each level until I beat it. Never spent a dime on this game.
Currently working through levels in the upper 500’s. Designs are pretty repetitive from early levels with the occasional extra challenging level thrown in. Still waiting for the beautifully colorful level I saw in an ad that I’m realizing probably doesn’t actually exist. A lot of these reviews talk about challenging levels requiring you to pay to beat, I don’t agree with those statements, but I do occasionally need to use an autofill bucket to be able to get past a level - I haven’t had to pay for any of them yet, though. I will delete a game before I spend money in it. I have a few main gripes with this app. #1- the upper levels are getting unplayable (probably started in the 100s), constantly freezing and pausing which would be fine if they didn’t also make the physics glitch. Buckets will make it to the conveyor belt then simply not fill immediately, like they need a moment to think but the belt continues to move. Not great if you’re trying to time your bucket placement precisely. Sometimes buckets will glitch halfway through filling and just stop accepting sand, however they still take up a space on the belt. Instant loss and so frustrating. #2- sometimes it seems like the ratio between the amount of space a color takes up in the image and the number of buckets it fills is inconsistent between colors. It can make it hard to strategize and feels occasionally arbitrary. #3- so. many. ads. Otherwise still a fun game to pass the time if I’m doing other things.
I’ve been playing this game for a while now, and I wanted to wait for an update so I can see if anything could change, but it’s not changing in the way I think is useful. I’ve spent the past four days on a level and I can’t get through it. You have to time your buckets perfectly, not place too many of the same colors down, and the fact the buckets always place in different spots when you have some slots open is irritating. If I was able to get some power ups through watching ads, it probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal. But I am only able to get power ups when I use coins, which you can only get after beating a level. Not to mention, it takes 900 coins to open a new slot, and 1800 coins for 3 power ups. Depending on the difficulty, you can get 25-75 coins per level. I don’t think that is fair with how often I get hard levels, and how hard some of these easy levels can be. I really do enjoy this game, but it sometimes just feels impossible, especially with how you only get 1 life added every 20 minutes.
