It has the look and feel of a video game at first glance, but itโs simple UI design (with active moving elements) doesnโt do this app justice on all the wonderful ways that you can shape audio. Erik has tapped deep into his imagination to bring this wonderful concept to life and for thatโฆthank you!
Hmmmโฆ. Really cool sounds and endless possibilities, especially considering that you can use multiple instances of the AUV3. What I wanted to say is ironic: when I first stumbled upon the other apps by this developer (Shapesynth, Nils, Elsa, etc.) I could not get used to the minimalistic interface. Particularly the low contrast of the UI elements was bothering me. Iโve since got used to it and really enjoy using it (still would love the ability to tweak the contrast for situations where it is hard to see the interface). The interface of the Rymdigare looks different, it is much more โnormalโ than the rest of the developerโs appsโฆironically I wish it stayed true to the other appsโ aesthetic. Particularly the rotary knobs feel out of place. Having said that, this is easily a 5 star app!
I've been writing music for over 25 years, and I've found the articles/instruments you come to rely on are usually best served in their simplest forms. However, once in a while, a rare while, an instrument (in this case an app) comes along with a sonic capacity and production quality to throw all that "simple is better" hippie crap out the window. The Developer has created a treasure here, worth far more than the $4.99 listed. And, it's fun- small suppressing features pop up, like narrated story lines, unique features and the beautiful look of the app. Incredible.
