Rustic Bakery & Cafe

Received my order placed email at 10:35 for a single breakfast sandwich and a latte at 10:55. Waited 5 past (11am) to give them cushion and checked in. Hadn’t even started my order, and couldn’t even produce it by 11:15. Train is at 11:18, so I ask for a refund. They rushed a terrible iced drink that was literally clear at the bottom from so much syrup, and then give me that and only refund the sandwich, like I want the terrible drink anymore. Of course I don’t have time because the train is leaving in 3 minutes after they couldn’t make a panini in 45 minutes. Never coming back. I feel like I waited 3/4 an hour just to be robbed.

Ordering was easy. Confirmation email received within seconds. Follow up email with expected time order will be ready. My only (very) minor criticism is the prediction was off by 5 minutes, so maybe 4 1/2 stars. Otherwise everything was seamless.

Big line outside Rustic Bakery Marin so I ordered with the app. After placing the order, there’s no confirmation email, text, or history in the app to know if it went through. I checked my credit card online and saw the charge by Rustic. Went inside to confirm they had the order OK. But I should have some record. And the app says you’d be messaged when ready, I wasn’t, so glad I was waiting inside and they called my name. Still, got my food faster than if I’d waited in the line 20 people deep.
