Love this App

I’ve used the RP macro app for a long time, even before there was an app counting macros by hand was such a chore. The app definitely makes it easy. I wish there were options for when you do go over macros. The app doesn’t allow that, but sometimes it happens and it would be nice to be able to track it. It would also be great if the meal check ins were automated. It’s annoying to get alerts all the time to check your meals in, and it’s an added item to do everyday. If I enter my macros for a meal, it should know if I’m at my macros or not. Edit: to the developer who responded. If I used the templates. I’m obviously using the app as a diet coach and I know what the app is supposed to be doing as far as cutting, maintaining or bulking. If I go over on a meal by 5macros. I can’t enter that and track it. Perfection isn’t going to happen with every meal. If I go over on one a little I should be able to add that in the app. Or even if I go over a lot. It would be nice to know how much I’m over. As far as tracking over, under, target, I would like to use that feature but have it automated or just turn the alerts off, and not turn the feature off completely. EDIT: The new version is fantastic. I’m so thrilled to be able to move macros. It makes it much more doable to move some macros around if you have lunch or dinner plans out. It’s almost impossible to eat a 15f of fat meal out, and no one wants to limit their life so much that they can’t enjoy reasonable outings with friends. THANK YOU!!!

Finally Losing Weight From Eating More!!!

After working out with a trainer 3X a week for 3 months and not seeing any changes, I went to a naturopath complaining of extreme fatigue and irritability (I am a 46 YO female). She told me I needed to eat less carbs and lose weight. Meanwhile I was squatting 285 and benching 150 in the gym. So I decreased carbs and added fat and felt worse. My trainer convinced me to ignore the doctors advice and download this app. I was completely freaked out by the volume of food I could eat and the amount of carbs I was eating almost tripled. Finished my second week and was down 4.5 lbs. My energy had increased so much and my muscles were actually feeling sore from the gym cause they were getting the nutrients they need to grow! Because I started feeling so much better and my energy had increased, I started moving way more and started to feel a little tired again. The app reviewed my last week and told me I need to eat more food. I mean this app is literally changing my relationship with food. After 46 years, I’m finally looking at food as fuel and not as bad or something I need to deprive myself of to lose weight. It’s still hard to not get anxious about how much I’m eating but the app gives me a process to trust while still getting strong in the gym. I really couldn’t say enough about it! Love the reminders to eat too. I have a stressful job and would often prioritize work over eating. Now my boss knows when my phone tells me to eat, I’m eating!

The most weight I’ve lost in 2 years

This is the only diet that has been effective for me in the last 2 years of trying to lose weight after having my daughter. It is great because I can eat anything I want. Although I generally make healthy choices the option to actually have what I want is there(sometimes chocolate is a must). It’s very eye opening as well. I can see how the weight piled on with all the snacking I was previously doing based on how the macros breakdown in the app. Where before I’d blindly eat ritz peanut butter crackers, for example, I now can still eat those crackers but it’s proportioned out in the app and I was definitely eating wayyyyyyy to many of them before. I like how easy the app is and that you can scan all your food in or create an add in and that the app breaks down the math of the macros for you. I like that I can make my own choices still but that I’m eating real food and that I’m generally full. It helps me to stop snacking without feeling like I have stopped. It’s only been a week and a half but this is the most weight loss I’ve had over the last 2 years and I am hopeful when looking at my goals now. Good luck to anyone that wants to try this app! Oh and FYI the first week and a half I have not been working out hard. I’ve done light walking, gardening, and cleaning around my house. The fact that I’m almost to ten pounds down after a week and a half really shows it’s all about how you eat. Good luck to everyone out there looking at this review!
