I’ve put Rodeo through the ringer for a few weeks now, and honestly, it’s the first "save-for-later" app that actually survives my workflow. Most of these apps are just static warehouses where links go to die, but Rodeo’s build quality is surprisingly lean and functional. The UI is intuitive without being "fluffy," and the categorization logic is snappy. It handles high-volume media and deep-link aggregation without the typical lag you see in cross-platform scrapers. For anyone managing research or just trying to organize a chaotic stream of information, the value-to-utility ratio here is top-tier. It’s rare to find an app that feels like a professional tool rather than a data-mining project. Rodeo is high-utility, transparent, and—most importantly—it actually works. If they keep the development this focused, it’s going to be a staple. — Dusty McLean
The ability to bulk edit (delete) events from the All Saves page would be useful. Another consideration is the ability to swipe to delete Past Events. I appreciate the Coming Up section layout on the All Saves page, reminiscent of a calendar app’s agenda view. The scrolling view of what’s happening today, tomorrow and later is a helpful view in case I hadn’t yet shared saved items to my calendar 🗓️. This is also integral in planning in such instances as my wife and my Sunday meetings. The map 🗺️ view is brilliant! The ability to get a rough idea of the distance between two or more events or which parts of town they’re located is helpful for the days when events stack up on one another. A great example is how it seems most events geared towards children our son’s age (3) are between 9:00-11:00 with very little deviation. We don’t exactly count ourselves morning people so a feature like this is critical for those days when multiple events are of interest and it’s a circus act of calculating when to leave one to attend another. Great job Rodeo 🤠! I haven’t yet dabbled with the Note feature but I appreciate that Rodeo can extract event details from images and webpages. My wife shares a lot of events with me she finds mostly on Facebook or the Macaroni Kids website — the List feature is useful in particular the moments when I can’t recall where she originally found event information ℹ️. In such instances I can immediately share event details to Rodeo and save it to the corresponding list for future reference.
You should provide any semblance of clarity on expectations for what you are signing up for prior to downloading the app. You will be on a waitlist. How long will that waitlist take to get off? No info about any of this written anywhere. In its current state I’ve downloaded an app that I’m pointlessly giving my data to with no promise or timeline of being able to use it for its advertised purposes. I will update this review if these issues are fixed.
