Rocket Math Online Tutor

I really like this game because I used to be really bad at multiplying and dividing but now is good at it. However there are a few things I don’t like. First of all I HATE the voice on one minute races and I don’t like the thing on take of with the voice it should just show the answers with no audio at this point.

This app is good for memorizing your division and multiplication and all that, but I have one MAJOR complaint, on the “1 minute race” that annoying tutor voice that says “Oh SORRY, you don’t know this one? Lemme show you how to do it so you can remember it for next time!?” Takes up SO much time! I would be able to correct it WITHOUT that annoying sarcastic voice. I get why it’s there on lessons, but on the races it’s just RIDICULOUS! Still recommend this app if your child doesn’t have anger issues, but I really think you need to make it less stressful!!!

My 3rd grader can now do a whole worksheet of 36 different 3-digit number addition problems, thanks to this program haloing her commit the math facts to memory. She used to struggle SO MUCH doing multi-digit addition, because she had to count on her fingers for every single place value, and she would get lost in the middle of a problem and a worksheet would take her over an hour to do! We decided to put the addition problems away and go back to the basics and commit the math facts to memory, and we tried a couple different ways until we tried Rocket Math and finally it clicked! I will say, she hated Rocket Math at first because she got A LOT wrong (because it’s mastery-based and goes quickly so they can’t move on unless they get the right answer… which they can’t do with counting because there’s not enough time!), but once she started learning the facts and figured out how it works (and got over the mental block of - you’re gonna get things wrong sometimes!) she now loves it and usually has it done before I’m even up in the morning!
