Remote control for TCL

I never leave reviews but I wanted to leave this one- this is the only remote that doesn’t beg you to pay after one use. The only remote that actually lets you control the volume and channels and everything like a normal remote. & it doesn’t just work for TCL, it’s works on my Hisense too. Of course there’s the occasional ad but nothing too obnoxious. It never lets me down, highly recommend.

I like this remote because it does all the basics and you can choose what your remote looks like, and it has one of the exact remote that I needed it to replace so that made navigating the buttons easier. However, my only complaint is that for whatever reason, (even when my tv and iPhone are connected to the same wifi) I can’t use my iPhone to turn ON my tv! And yes, I have updated my phone software and I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max so it’s not an old phone. But I have to use my broken remote and physically turn it on with that remote then I can use my phone remote app to do whatever I need to do. But the app will allow me to turn my tv OFF just not ON which is super annoying and kind of defeats the purpose. I even paid for the version that has no ads (cheapest no ad remote I found on the Apple Store) yet I’m still having this issue…but other than that, it’s just like a regular remote.

How a TV app should be. No logging in nonsense, simply locate and connect to the TV. Ads didn't seem intrusive but to go ad free was a small price that is definitely worth it to me. It's comes to show you, the manufacturers have no interest in making a TV remote app that simply works without the nonsense. Although for feedback, the sensitivity is kind of high in touch pad mode for me. Don't see any setting for it. Not a deal breaker at all though. Kudos to the developer!
