1) There is no send to functionality. I cannot send a link from safari to the app. I have to open the app and copy/paste the link. 2) A back button when clicking through saved links.
For a young app, this thing is pretty good. It functions pretty much how you’d expect without much trouble and offers some pretty compelling features at an enticing price. In the era of absurd subscription prices for practically everything from food delivery to storing written plain text — ReadWell differentiates itself from the wolves masquerading in sheep’s clothing by providing an outstanding value for an honorable $5 one time fee. Sure, it’s not “perfect”, but to be fair is anything really? I hesitate to even leave a 4 star review because I honestly feel that’s being a little too harsh especially considering how young it is. I assume it is from a relatively small team or perhaps even a single individual. If that’s the case, it’s even more impressive what they’ve built here and makes the price all the more worth it. My ONLY real gripe so far is that I can’t seem to understand how to add tags. The tags menu just opens up and has no field in which to actually type in any tags. I’ve tried tapping mindlessly all over the popup tag menu hoping to see the keyboard pop up but have had no such luck. The only other thing I can really think of that I would say needs some improvement is just maybe a little more UI polish on iOS as well as including a how to guide/more information on some of the features of the app. It doesn’t appear to have cloud syncing between the Mac and iOS apps and the help menu on Mac isn’t available nor is the options for syncing with Notion or OneNote apparently. All in all, this app is more than worth its value and if you struggle to come to terms with paying for subscriptions on apps, you should pick this up immediately. Keep up the good work devs.
