Proloquo4Text AAC

My name is Kade and I use this app to help me with my anxiety. I have Cerebral Palsy, and it has helped me with so many things! I have anxiety around ordering, asking for a water refill, advocating for myself, and ask for help. I can speak verbally, but need this app sometimes. I love this app! Thank you so much for making it possible for me to have on my phone. For anyone who is nonverbal I would highly recommend you get this app! Thank you again! You guys really helped me make it easier for me to order at a restaurant, speak in front of people, and ask for help. Thank you so much for making this app.

I've been using Proloquo4Text for some time, and have always found the interface to be clean and logical, especially with the many customization options to show or hide certain features. I get overwhelmed by visual clutter, so that is very helpful. Mixing the iPad onscreen keyboard's word prediction with Proloquo's prediction or using AssistiveWare's Keeble, communication is generally very efficient. But now, the option to use both Personal Voice and Apple TTS voices cements it as my favorite AAC app. While I like the Acapela Heather voice well enough, most of the other voices didn't resonate with me, and generally didn't fit my accent. Now, Proloquo works amazingly with my Personal Voice, and sometimes I'll switch to Zoe Premium if I need extra clarity without boosting the volume--my own voice is a bit soft around the edges--for articulation similar to mine. It is wonderful to have so many choices to find what suits you best; it makes Proloquo4Text well worth the price, especially if you use AAC frequently or full-time.

It is a good app to have when you have a speech impediment and need to communicate with others that don’t understand your speech patterns, especially in high stressful situations or the person is just plain lazy and not being patient with you. It is also good for writing out complete sentences for complex situations that you might find yourself in. It is also good for writing out sentences for stories that you are working on along anything else like poetry, especially if you are someone who relies on audio feedback for hearing how a sentence sounds. Therefore, I highly recommend this app for anyone who needs assistance in any important situations they might face, whether it is a situation where communication is poor or you simply want to write out what you want to communicate ahead of time for a upcoming meeting or appointment. Whatever the situation you going to find yourself in this is the app you need for your most important situations that you face in your life.
