Photos+ Cloud Library

The app has great potential to break the connection between cloud storage and a service running over top of it, in this case photo and video galleries. For it to work for my family I think I need to wait for an android app, and it’s a little light on features, but I can see some nice bones here. Will be keeping an eye on it. A macOS desktop app may help too, to pull down media for importing in to Lightroom Classic. Though I have to consider how expensive that may be at $0.01 per GB. If anyone else is curious, they create two folders in your bucket, one with originals (original HEIC and MOV files, not exported jpg and mp4), one with optimized previews. Clever IMHO, they’re doing something like NextCloud but distributed where each client does and takes what it needs from “dumb” cloud storage.
