Fantastic App! I’ve been a pool tech for over 25 years servicing everything from large commercial facilities to small residential fanny dunkers. I’ve used and applied the LSI parameters for water balance and have used the “water wheel” for years until Orenda showed off their new app at one of our IPSSA meetings. Having the app show the various adjustments and results instantaneously is a huge help and has really made a difference in understanding what needs to be adjusted with each pool/spa. I use the app daily and have found that it makes it easier than ever to “know” exactly where the water falls on the LSI. And now with the new update, it’s even better to know what the ph ceiling and carbonate alkalinity are! Thank you to everyone at Orenda for helping move the industry forward and for providing top tier education for all!

Perfect way to implement Orenda Tech LSI method. Excellent if you complete Orenda Academy but its not intuitive that you should be familiar with LSI-centric balancing to really get the benefit of the “get dosage” feature. As someone who has tried and failed to use Pool Chain Store range based balancing in my area of Texas which has high hardness, so I ended up in a constant battle against the water to keep it in range. Thats why I say using this app without knowing Orenda LSI-centric balancing is a waste of the strengths of the app. I like the Academy is available but I feel the app does not encourage users to do the Academy lessons before using the calculator. I like that the app has Orenda product descriptions but the bottles are not easy to find and without MSRP, it is hard to know if internet prices are fair or not.

I have been looking for a dosing calculator to add to my service fleet for years- they all leave something to be desired. This app should not be free!!! It has everything I need to get and keep my crew on track- the ability for them to easily email me results puts it over the top.I stumbled upon the app by chance and it was the best thing that’s happened for my company as far as software ever!!! Being able to easily show my guys the relationship of chemicals and how they affect LSI gave them a more thorough understanding that a balanced pool is not always a perfectly balanced pool. Finally- what a timesaver!!! Seeing dosage requirements laid out in exact ounces instead of trying to go through the Taylor book page by page and do math.... innovative and necessessary. I’d pay for this
