Optimus Tracking

I have had this tracker installed on my vehicle for a little while now. I hard wired it to my vehicle so that I wouldn’t have to worry about the battery life. Occasionally, I will get a false alert the my vehicle has left my Home Geo Fence, but if you read the FAQ’s, it very clearly tells you that if your vehicle remains parked for an extended period of time (like overnight), it’s not uncommon for it to do this - but as soon as your vehicle is started up or actually moves, the GPS immediately updates. I tested this claim by using the remote start on my vehicle after one of those alerts, and sure enough within 4 seconds it updated accurately. This is a minor issue and easily resolved. I love how it will notify me if there is movement of my vehicle, even if it’s not running. Customer support is quick and absolutely amazing! The only complaint that I have is that the app, while wonderful, has an outdated user interface and could use some TLC. Other than that - this is a fantastic GPS system for your vehicle(s)!

Blank and frozen screens and no connection between app and tracker after 2 days of charging and 5 hours in the car. One of their “staff” says it needs more time. How much time? This arrogant staffer named Nick responded to my email that I can’t submit my issue in their app because it doesn’t work by telling me to hit the button. I’m gonna guess Nick is trying to get fired and has no idea how technology or customer service works. Apparently he doesn’t know what it means when someone tells you its not working. He also doesn’t without knowing what screen was blank made up that my wifi must be blocking it yet the other menu pages work. He also made up that a blank screen not working in the app is also because their products need more than 5 hours to connect. I’d love to hear the software developers say explain how that works on one screen.

You can turn off or on the route path. Tracks the pings. If they are set to closer times (2 or 3 min), it uses more battery but gives a more accurate line. To me the path doesn’t matter - it’s where it is when I need to see it. This is accurate. I can send a signal to see where it is and still leave the setting at 10 min. And it pauses when it’s parked. (Good battery saver). This has been great for tracking a parent and helping find them when they were lost.
