Online Radio Box: FM Radio App

I’ve used several other streaming apps for several years and they do the job fine. Radio Box takes advantage of all the streaming information and creates a pleasant user experience through the interface. Please don’t sell out the way others have to maximize profits and minimize improvements.

It’s radio. I want to put it on and listen while I do other things. But when I minimize the app or my phone goes to sleep, it stops playing. I would swear it didn’t used to do this. I thought I’d listened on hour-long commutes many times. But it updated (or is it the new headphones?), and now it’s basically useless. Too bad. I really like the concept. UPDATE: I googled and someone suggested deleting and reinstalling. I did this and now it’s working again! I upped my rating one star but still not 5 because I had to figure out the fix myself after unhelpful emails from developer (still appreciate the timely responses attempting to resolve). Great to have my favorite stations anywhere/anytime and now I can also listen to stations around the world I never would have heard before.

This is a good app, has lots of stations from around the world. The only issue I have with it is the in-app purchase to “remove visual ads”. Sure, it does what it says, and the developer deserves to be compensated. But even with the premium version data is still collected on usage from multiple sources. Thanks for removing ads, but the trackers should also be removed. This would be a five star app without all the ad / spyware link being called behind the scenes.
