NUS Mobile Key (UTown & Halls)

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE APPLICATION. I do not even know why NUS housing services uses this application. 1-star is a stretch if you ask me. When I entered the booking number in the NUS mobile key application, it is said that my check-in was successful and I will receive the mobile key. However, when I wanted to use my mobile key, it was said that there is no valid key found, and I was to go to the front desk for assistance. However, the housing services office was closed from 16-19 May, which is about half of the vacation stay period I applied for. Now, I’m locked out of my room and even the gate (since they stopped my card as well). Why did I pay for vacation stay, when I can’t even enter the hostel, much less my room? The app didn’t work for the entire of last semester either. Could only tap in at the gate but not my room door. I had the use the card all the way. If NUS would like to phase out physical cards, please make sure the app at least works. Most of my friends also faced problems with this application, all the time. Making sure that the core function of the app, the mobile key, works is the bare minimum.

Very poor. If my phone dies late at night i am stuck outside hall with no way of contacting anyone. Cant even use my matric to open the gate. Pls don’t phase out matric cards
