Number Match: 2048 Puzzle

I love playing this game. The first thing I did after playing it for a little bit was to go and stop the ads, because I was so addicted to it! But..the biggest problem with this game is that it constantly locks up. The tiles start shaking, and the only way to fix it is to reboot my iPhone. This also happens on my iPad. So frustrated that I can’t continue to play it, and I switch to another game that doesn’t have the problems that this game has. I have reached out to the company a number of times, even including a screenshot of the tiles freezing. I heard back from them once, asking for the details. That was the only time I heard from them, even after a few emails from me, including a few that were because of the game asking for details of the problems. I never heard back from tech support after I responded to their email. I’m very frustrated with this situation, because I love playing this game! Hopefully they will be able to fix this issue soon.

I like that I add each number but I don’t really understand the gist of the game. The point system doesn’t go higher based on high numbers and then if you don’t let the adds go in and offer you more exchange numbers and you refuse many times then all of a sudden game over. Very weird. I like to know what my goal is and when I’m achieving goal. I do like this bc it seems therapeutic but it doesn’t feel like a game. More just matching numbers that mean nothing and achieve you know points. For example when I start moving out many numbers to finally achieve a long list of the same block number all of a sudden the game wants to delete that number. Makes. No. Sense. And there’s no where on the app the dither explains the premise of the game. This is just a therapeutic number slide. No game at all. Needs improvements to make it a game.

I had to uninstall this app not because the game was bad, but because some of the ads were auto clicking links to sites with malware and tracking software. I got multiple fake Norton website popups (that I had no control over receiving as they were NOT the banners at the bottom, but the ordinary full page ads you get after reaching certain benchmarks in the game.) and had to force close the tabs in Safari (read: NOT the game) in order to get rid of them. This happened about 3 times in the span of an hour. Again, these ads are taking you to a website, saying they’re from Norton, and presenting you with typical malware/adware scare tactics so you’ll click on a suspicious link or download their software. I’m not entirely sure if my device is safe or not at the moment, and I’m going to start using adblock after this experience because it was scary how easy it was for the advertisement to do this. I have never downloaded an app from the App Store and felt THIS unsafe. It really freaked me out. I won’t be using this app, or changing my rating, until those ads are taken care of and removed from advertising on the application. Other than that, great version of this game!
