Notebook - Diary & Journal App

Tl;dr: I think this app is rigged to make the ads more annoying after you use it for half a year. I downloaded this app because it was the only one I could find that arranges your entries oldest to newest instead of vice versa like a social media feed. And its minimalistic approach is its greatest strength and weakness. (Sometimes I want to attach photos to an entry.) But one day, the app just switched up on me. Every time I opened it, the ad banner at the top of the screen would load for three seconds and then expand to take up 50% of the screen, so I can’t see what I’m typing until I click the little ‘shrink ad’ button in the corner. This change may have simply been added in an update… But it feels more like the app was programmed to wait until I was a long-time, stalwart user, before hitting me with bigger and better-paying ads, believing I’d be so hooked I would either put up with them, or shell out $5 to remove them. My greatest regret is not making a note of the exact day this happened, so now I have to guess based off of the slow decline of my journal-per-month rate: I downloaded this app in February, and my output peters off at July to September? Anyways, future users beware.

I am really pleased with the ability to journal, backtrack to enter information for past dates, and physically flip through the pages to retrieve information. I do worry about the developer keeping the app current whenever there are iOS updates, because too many times I have embraced an app and put all of my information into it only to have it no longer work and losing everything! Otherwise it’s a solid app. A couple of suggestions for future updates: the ability to add photos or attachments to notebook entries would be awesome. I would also love the ability to maintain more than one “notebook” for different subjects to make it that much easier to refer back to relevant entries.

I use this app to put my medicine in. When I forget to put in I could always go back and put my finger on the line of the medicine i took time after I’ve selected the medicine that I have already put in I could put my finger on the time and it would let me change the time to the correct time. Now I do that it’s blank I cannot change the time so I cannot keep an accurate account the medicines I have taken this was a great app five stars I would’ve even given it a 10 now it’s no longer an app that I can use for my medication. It was the best one I have ever found. This just happened after the new update. I have an 8 plus phone. I have had this app for years. I could bring it up at the Doctors office and show them all the medicine I had taken, even print it out. I now will have to find a new one Sooo disappointed. I hope this is an error in your update and it will be corrected. I should never have updated this. I find most updates only make the apples worst. You don’t seem to follow through to check that everything is done correctly and made better before you update. Sooooooo upset and disappointed.
