The single player mode faithfully follows the rules—the AI is not difficult to beat, but the experience is a satisfying way to learn, and a fun way to spend a few minutes. I just tried two-player for the first time, and we immediately ran into trouble: the black player could move white tokens; white tokens could sometimes move 2 spots rather than one; certain times neither color registered as a mill when there were three in a row; sometimes you could remove pieces in mill even when there were “loose” pieces available. At one point neither player was able to move, even though there were legal moves available. So: I can’t recommend the game as a two-player experience, and the lack of difficulty modes versus the computer gets stale after a while Despite these problems, however, I did enjoy playing the game. Many of the UI elements are well chosen. It’s clearly a labor of love offered into the world for free, and I can’t bring myself to judge it harshly.
