Newpedia -Dictionary Creation-

Newpedia’s Dictionary Creation app is surprisingly handy. I quickly jumped to the paid subscription for the added features - and it’s working out well. I’ve started four dictionaries. The only complaint I have so far - and I could be missing how to do thus - is it does not automatically Dort the entries in to alphabetical order. The search feature works well. Glad to have found Newpedia.

One of the only resources I have found like this. I use it for building fantasy languages, and it works wonderfully for that. I have two wish list items though: 1st. It would be awesome if you could create a custom keyboard that you could use to enter in information with. Other custom keyboards I have tried don’t seem to work with this app. 2nd. I’d love it if you could get a full view of the items you have created, with the word, pronunciation, and meaning all visible side by side, and a description visible below them. Having to click into each one to see this information is a bit cumbersome. Hope the work on this continues!

I’ve been looking for an application to help me increase my vocabulary. This application almost does exactly what I need. My two biggest criticisms; first, while I do not want to ask programmers to work for free, I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on applications. I will usually pay a one time fee to remove advertisements but as a rule, I no longer subscribe to applications that require annual renewals. The other thing I find lacking, is the ability to import a dictionary like description of the word, with pronunciation, synonyms, usage examples, etc. But for now, it meets my basic needs.
