Neko AI - Anime Art Generator

I started using this app because I was creating a character and emotes for my Twitch page. There are a wide variety of different styles to choose from even on the free version. There is an in app currency called credits that are used every time an image is generated. They give checkin credits and daily quests for you to earn more credits without paying. My main complaint is that when I first saw the app in the store it was being portrayed as an AI girlfriend creation game and it appeared as if it would have been one where you can chat with the bot you create. In my case, it worked out better that it was incorrect because I just wanted to create cute little chibi emotes and was able to make some cute stuff. I just don’t see why it was so misleading in the AppStore. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🔸 *EDIT* 🔸 The app actually just added the ai character chat feature, so my previous comments are no longer accurate. I haven’t used the feature to know how well it actually works, but at least it is an option now. I just wanted to share in case there were people who had previously downloaded the app and been disappointed when they couldn’t find it.

Amending my original review. This app has amazing capabilities in what it can do. Dropping the score more because the last update has messed with the daily check in bonus that maybe works 1 out of 5 days (that’s being generous) and no response from the email I sent to support. Second, the rejection issue for the public gallery mentioned below has gotten even worse. Absolutely no consistency whatsoever. Simple images of a girl wearing a T-shirt and shorts sleeping on a couch is rejected while images displaying what they seem to consider explicit content are allowed including the prompts for those images listing explicit content are on display. This is a major hindrance in getting the bonus rewards. I really like this app but I can’t give the last star. It is quite frustrating when trying to publish an image and constantly have them rejected for the “content” whether it be the image or the words in the prompt. To elaborate, a prompt describing a girl swimming in a pool (those exact words) rendered a girl in a one piece swimsuit sitting on one of the steps of the pool. This image was rejected. Nothing graphic or explicit but still rejected. Yet I find other images that will actually show partial nudity (wet tshirt) or images where the prompt is specifically describing nudity or something explicit, but my image gets rejected. In the case of the girl in a pool, an almost identical image was found published. There needs to be consistency in what gets an image rejected.

You can get any image you want from landscape to girls to (redacted). It’s awesome! But don’t feel like it’s not making the image you want until you keep trying and be more specific and detailed. You can’t just say “hot anime girl (redacted)” and expect it to make that image. You need to put in the effort to create the character, make the scene, and let your imagination run free. It may take a few attempts but this app is really good at what it does. I wish they had a video feature or at least a gif or something to ad some kind of effects with motion or flare. Other than that you get what you want with the images your desire 😘
