I was so excited about the new AI features just added and dove in. It was working just fine in self consumption mode but on cloudy days we lack enough solar to get through the high demand hours. I have been manually charging on days I am home but miss an occasional day and that can bite us demand wise. I told AI I wanted to make sure the battery was charged to 70% 15 minutes before the high demand rate kicked in. It made it happen. Then two days later I come home late and the battery is full. I asked AI why and it said I asked to charge the battery but I didn’t tell it to discharge so it got full and just stayed there. It said it would happily make changes to the script to make it right. After six changes I come out this morning and it’s selling the solar to the power company and not charging the battery. I just turned off AI and have returned to self consumption and manually tweaking when needed. I guess I am not versed enough in AI battery talk.
Everything we need is right here. In 20yrs, this is the best solar equipment app we have seen. Good job!
Tons of detail, and good effort to make clean and opulent. The biggest improvement would be to take a new stab on the general menu and navigation. Some things are redundant while other things are buried. There’s a lot of in and out of menus that could just be consolidated on a page easier to scroll. My biggest wish is to have a mode for full time off-grid folks, so that it’s not always talking about the grid everywhere. Let’s us have a settings toggle to hide those items.
