The watch works well. Bought the R2 Cotton Candy Mix series. Able to message, call and video call. Instead of a phone, this was the best next thing to get the child connected when there is no comms available. Simple and easy to use. Price is on high side but the build and quality is good. Customer service is very patient and helpful in guiding me when I have question. Will recommend to those that need to contact their kids in school without having to give them a phone.
Purchased this watch as a Christmas present. Item was delivered loosely wrapped boxed in an envelope. When I unboxed the item a few days after, I found a deep hair line scratch on the watch and contacted customer service. I attached pictures for them immediately , but at the same time still went ahead to activate the SIM card on the phone as I wanted to check out the functions. I also let my son familiarise the functions on the fone supervised. After all, he has been looking forward to this watch. All this I should not have to justify my actions as to why I did what, while waiting, I waited for a few days to hear back from customer service and was told there is nothing they can do because it seems that the watch has already been activated and “used”. It still does not discount the fact that item has already been damaged when I received it. Take your money elsewhere. Firstly I am a paying customer, I paid more than $200 to receive a defective item, yet my integrity is being doubted as customer service seem to have indicated I damaged the item on my own. Lastly, this product is advertised for young children and if my young child manage to “damage” the item within 1 week, it goes to show the inferior quality used to manufacture this overpriced item.
The good thing is it was easy to set up and simple to use. But the disappointment is the lag time between the update on location on Google map, and the frequency in which the device is ‘not online’ when I try to refresh. It took about 15 min for the location pin to move after the actual move by my child. Is this due to Sim network, or something else. The device should be online all the time. The location marker should be more prompt and real time. Can the notifications also be more intuitive? For instance it should read ‘Xx has left Home’ or ‘XX has arrived at school’ rather than ‘your child location has been updated’. The auto track function on the app is also unclear- Whether i set to 10min or 30min intervals, the updates are not coming accordingly. Not sure what the cause of delay is. I love the concept. Please improve on the above thank you!
