My Simple Review of the Compassion (MyCompassion) App User-Friendly Connection The app makes it incredibly easy to stay connected with your sponsored child—whether you’re writing letters, attaching photos, or reading their updates—right from your phone. It’s fast, intuitive, and designed to help you stay engaged no matter where you are.  Real-Time Insight I love how the app shows the child’s local weather, time, and even a little map to help me imagine where they are in the world. It adds such a personal touch and really brings me closer to their daily life.   Stay in Touch, Stay Inspired You can easily track when you last wrote, get reminders for upcoming birthdays, read prayer prompts, and explore stories tailored just for you. It’s packed with meaningful features that help you stay committed in prayer, correspondence, and giving.   Room for Improvement Some users have had a few challenges with the latest version—like having to log in every time or only seeing the last five letters. There are also reports of the app freezing when sending letters. Encouragingly, the developers are listening and improving these issues with regular updates.  Overall It’s a thoughtful, beautifully designed way to maintain a real and meaningful connection with your sponsored child. With consistent enhancements and helpful tools, it’s clear the app is built to deepen those special bonds—despite a few minor hiccups that are being addressed.

I haven’t had any issues with log ins or letter writing and the like. I do like this app quite a bit. My only request is to bring back the notification when your child writes to you. I’m sometimes several weeks late reading and responding because there’s no flag on the app icon (yes notifications are “on” for the app)

can we please have the old app back? It was so nice because it immediately pulled up my sponsored child’s information and getting to the point where I could pray the daily prayer was just one click. Now I’m having all kinds of issues logging in. It has lost my child’s information in the app and I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app. Please just bring back the old app. Edit: I still prefer the old app, but the issues above have been fixed and now clicking on my daily prayer notification takes me straight to the prayer page.
