The app works fine. I scheduled a โpre-bookโ arrival for a morning ride to Heathrow to avoid rush hour inside the tiny Tube train cars that I suspected would be packed. NYC train cars are much taller and wider. I do like the fact that you can pay with cash or card and that the all-inclusive quoted fare is sent via text. That way, it is in writing and there isnโt anything to argue about. A few thing that could be improved: 1. The license plate id should be included in the pick-up details. Several cars of the exact color, make and model passed by within the same time my cab was expected. It was a little confusing. 2. A photo of the driver is provided, but users should be able include a photo of themselves (optionally) to make it easier to identify passengers. 3. There is a notes section for special instructions, but my driver either did not see it or ignored it. I left a note that said to meet me in front of the building with the exact address written on the edifice. I stood under it and also noted to look for yellow baggage. My driver arrived a few minutes late and parked 20 feet away only to call me and ask: โWhere are you?โ Not only did he not pull up directly to the specified location, he did not consider I was the only person standing there, with yellow bags, waiting for someone. If the app could flash details from the passengerโs entered notes, it might help. 4. Driver rating feature did not work. I have had a few surly driver experiences as a NYC native, but it would have been useful to rate him as can be done with Lyft and Uber. My driver did not recall I was going to Heathrow. I mentioned it as a reminder and he seemed surprised. His driving was fine, albeit a bit fast in turns into narrow alleys, but that seems to be a London thing. I mentioned Terminal 3 and the airline international departures. He took me to Terminal 3 and was miffed that I didnโt get out at the wrong terminal. He then dropped me off at the farthest walk point about 100 feet or more from the Terminal 3 entrance. I asked if he was sure he could not get closer and he grumbled: โOh my God!โ He then got out of the cab and took my luggage from the trunk to place it on the sidewalk. I politely thanked him, counted my money and mentioned I was giving him what amounted to about 18% tip. I smiled and told hm to enjoy his day. That seemed to change his tune and he then tried to point me to the right direction to get to the entrance. None of that is the appโs fault, but it could have possibly forged a better first-time experience. 5. Please make the discount codes obvious upon sign up. I didnโt see anything until after my first ride, when asked to rate the app in the Apple store. I would use the service again, just with lowered expectations around driver interaction.
They may waste your time by canceling your booking !
I asked the application to resend the code various times, but I never received a code. I then called and was wrongfully directed by customer support to use my phone number as the verification code. This was after having to explain to him at least 5 times that I wasnโt looking to schedule a ride, and I just needed a verification code for my mobile application. So far, completely useless app and customer service.
