Maryland WIC for Participants

WIC App is the definition of useful. Benefits are shown in picture form along with the amount left to use in number form. Tapping on a benefit picture takes you to an explanation of the benefit, allowable purchases (meaning which brands you can buy) and stores that accept WIC. With current and future benefit balance available anytime just by logging in, the app takes the hassle out of calling, going online or reviewing receipts to manage benefit balances. The app also allows you to check when your next WIC appointment is scheduled. We’ve been receiving WIC for four years now and it has been a life saver for us. Staff at all locations are supportive, friendly and patient. The staff treat WIC clientele with respect and genuine care. This app is one of the ways WIC makes eating healthy on smaller incomes a reality for families. Thank you to WIC and the app developers for supporting families. If the app had a way to notify us of farmers market benefit availability I would be even more satisfied.

Before I downloaded the app I always have problem with the food items and what is approved by WIC and what is not but since I have downloaded and using the app, it’s been so helpful and I even check my next appointment. So if you have not download the app you’re missing alot

Very easy to use and I enjoy how it displays benefits. There are some discrepancies however in the approved items. I will scan an item and it will show it’s not approved when it really is and vice versa. I also look at the list of things approved under each section and while it says the item is approved, it’s not when I go to the register.
