This company is highly unethical and doesn’t care about their customers. I purchased this app as part of a bundle prior to 2018 and no longer have access to it. When I emailed them about it they said they changed their business model and now require a $9.99 monthly subscription to access what I already paid for. You should have just made a new app and left this one alone. Instead, you scammed people out of their money. Steer clear of this app and anything associated with Zen Labs. What a terrible company. Edit on 2/18: In response to Zen Labs who keeps commenting the same boring, generic response on everyone’s 1 star reviews calling your company a scam, (including mine), just stop. You did steal peoples money and that’s not okay. Also, you know just as well as I do that the Apple Store does not keep receipts past 2018. I made that very clear in my direct email to you with screenshots showing that. And I showed you screenshots where it clearly says I purchased the bundled app.
I have enjoyed the past year plus using the 13.6 and recently 26.2 trainer. However today, I was all set to go using the new update and unfortunately twice when I locked my phone the program shut down. I was not getting my cues and when I got home, I looked at my run and it had not been tracking. I count on being able to set my program, music lock my phone using the settings and put it in my armband. Taking my phone out of the armband is not convenient when running. Feeling hot and disappointed.
The training schedule is just what I need, and the audio cues are great so I don't have to keep checking my phone. However, the audio cues (and haptics on Apple watch) only continue to work if the phone is awake with the screen on the whole time. With the recent software updates causing older iPhones to drain battery like a sinkhole, I've found my phone hitting 20% battery halfway through a training session, and that little notification window interferes with the app until you acknowledge it. Same thing happens with the 10% battery warning. So it would be nice if the app could continue to work with the screen off. Most people fun with the phone tucked away in a pocket or am armband anyway, so it doesn't make sense to require the antenna to be on there whole time. Also, now with the third generation Apple watches having standalone cellular capability, it would be really really nice to have the option of the watch app functioning independently of the phone. I hate lugging the phone around on runs, and constantly having to check the watch to make sure the phone isn't about to die and turning off the cues would allow better focus on the training.
