I used it for one year impossible to find any of the classes, when to turn stuff in, or how to even turn stuff in. Other stupid thing once I turn it in they get the ownership of MY doc and MY work. It has this high of a rating most likely because of people getting paid or something for a 5 star review. It also keeps deleting my work.
/student/task_and_deadlines from the student side is exactly the list for grades needed in the parent’s view as well. Way too difficult to find teachers’ email contacts. Need to differentiate Not Assessed versus Not for a grade, and Not Submitted. I want to be able to save the PDFs as photos. Even when selecting individual slides of a pdf in portfolio, they do not give a save as a photo. Let “web view” be a button everywhere if more info is provided there. (Lots of uneccessary info besides the most important.) Parent view - The assignments you’re actually looking for are in “streams” in each class. Some streams aren’t on class homes but the toggle of the unit within the class. Streams for each class would be great, possibly including just one with all streams on home. The main reporting to highlight should be the work not submitted. In order to figure this out, I have to go through each stream and notice which doesn’t have a green check mark at the top left. I would expect a red x , and total, or filter for missed work. As well as some notification alerts. The bar graphs for formatives / summatives are not intuitive. Multiple formatives are reported in some classes so this isn’t an average. Line graphs for each class, filtered by Hw, tests, class work, and projects would be far more helpful for tracking. This should also have the conversion option of percentage out of 100 as is used in the stream. This view weekly, monthly, and quarterly for each class on one page would allow keeping track of the trend. I think teachers were able to disable my private comments where I wanted to submit the photos of work on each assignment to match with the grades. Parental access to problems like textbooks taken home would steer everything. I can only teach after the fact unless I find my own questions from which classes share modules like math. And yet, all work isn’t uploaded for all classes, only graded, maybe. Lots of grades just for completion make averaging what goes into the final grade murky. Classes are missing rubrics on what type of work will represent what percentage of the final grade. Ie tests may be 40% and we’re unaware. Perhaps we need the kid’s weekly planner view on our side as well. ** Would’ve been great for last week’s update that provides a overall task and deadline stream on home to also include past ones, filterable by week/month. Missed. **
It’s a great app and it’s convenient for students, but some things, students look at their timetable almost every class, every time they need to transfer classes, they check it, there should be a export feature or integration with the Apple calendar invite or it should have toggle-able notifications 5-10 mins before the next class starts, also there the new themes feature doesn’t work, whatever style you choose, turn on dark mode off and on, it doesn’t work, also there should the a replaceable buttons at the bottom bar, some people don’t need quick add, they need a calendar button for example, they should bring back the changing buttons at the bottom bar, all that aside it’s overall a good app.
