Lockdown Privacy: AdBlock VPN

This used to be a great app, but since the release of 2.0 (and their ever/increasing use of greedy pop ups asking for you to subscribe to their paid service) I decided to switch to AdGuard and deleted Lockdown from my phone. Some the the options to block certain trackers are now restricted to people who pay for their monthly subscription, so you only get limited protection if your on the free tier. They also starting making the app display a pop up, every single time you open the app. It’s greedy, needy, and annoying. I would no longer recommend this and I won’t go back to using it unless they tone down their pop ups and stop removing features/functionality from the free version of the app. I understand that app developers need funding to make the project viable but alienating your existing customers and ramping up the advertising of your paid subscription service is not the way. Apparently this app was acquired by another company, which explains all the negative changes that have taken place. For now, they are trading on the good name of the original developers, but I hope to see the average rating go down into the 1-2 range. It’s pretty insidious when you have an app that purports to protect your privacy, only to end getting bought and owned by a larger company which only cares about $$$ and probably does little to protect the user’s privacy. I avoid finding an alternative that is a one time purchase instead of a monthly fee. Get Proton or Mullvad if you want a VPN service.

Here's the thing: I'm a caregiver to both my elderly parents and sometimes I need to just get away or destress. I love coloring by number and I have a couple apps I like and would love to just start coloring and lose myself for a few minutes. What I don't like is ads constantly interrupting me while I do this, so here comes Lockdown Yayyyy!!!! I was so excited when I found this app and so appreciate how it blocks ads on my iPhone and on the internet. This app is so needed on everyone's phone in my opinion. So thank you so much Lockdown for a beautiful much needed app😬! 2nd Review: I still think Lockdown is a 5 star because nowhere in AppStore have I found anything that will do what lockdown does! I realize that it is not cheap making or updating an app like this but at this time I cannot afford a subscription, or at least not an expensive one. I’m a caregiver and it just takes all I make n have to live everyday and care for my parents. But again in my opinion, this is a must on everyone’s phone. Thank you Lockdown for a superb app, for me it is everything 😀!

Seems like now Days I am always rushing trying to get somewhere. So I would like to take a moment sit down and talk about this extremely special unique app that protects you myself and our family. People who invented the words Scam Fraud that change their phone number as fast as yes this Developer finds them. I truly thank the Developer for all the Hard work sweat and love that the Developer has done to the coding of this software that protects you myself and our family from fraudulent people who are trying to get our identity to steal money! The Technology is changing every second every minute and every day in fact right now as you read this. That’s why the Developer’s of this 5 Star app keep updating this unique system. So I hope you will download this very unique app and give it a try. Technology is not free wish like you it was not, but if you want to use something everyday and keep it you will find it cost! Well time for me to move on as they say, but Thanks Developer’s for putting the special love into your App I truly truly Thank You and I can’t help but tip my Hat to you Guys! Thanks
