VPN Secure Proxy: UltraVPN™

With Kaspersky (Total Security) banished from USA, this was the auto-replacement option. Seriously annoyed at the start, I quickly found I have more of what I use - and am discovering is useful - from the ULTRAvpn platform! They transferred my years-long license, cover way more devices than my solo-shoppe uses, so I don’t jam up ULTRAvpn covering 3-5 Win10 devices while I convert to Win11. PassWatch feels a few beats quicker, and more seamless than K’s Password Manager. Also, due to forced transition, I had early need to tap UltraVPN’s tech/customer service: which is surprisingly easy-peasy and reassuring this is the standalone (delusion) product most satisfying to my need to feel self-reliant, an independent of “Big DATA Siphoning Demons. I believe it is doing as intended, when going on some websites the site will say it doesn’t recognize my device and make me do the standard “I’m not a robot” test when I didn’t have to that for those websites previously. And if I sign into an account with my phone, I will get an email saying a device is trying to sign in from some location far away from me asking if it’s me or not, so it seems as though this app is doing a good job of hiding my phone and making it more difficult to track me. The only problem I have with the app is that when I am connected through it the data rate will at times really slow down or quit working all together, I then flip over to the app and disconnect the VPN and then the data works again. I then connect it again a little while later and it seems to be fine again for awhile.

The app’s user interface is very simple and anyone can use it. It really is free, you don’t need to get a free trial or an account. Recently the app has been constantly prompting me to write a review and get the full version. This would be fine with me except it slows down the app so you can’t connect as quickly as you should. And when it comes to connecting, disconnecting, and staying connected, it’s pretty rough. It will not connect when you’re using data. The only time it ever does is if you have good service and don’t move. Because if you get in the car you might lose signal, and if that happens even for a second, the VPN will stop working, but continues attempting to reconnect, never does, and makes it so you have no internet because your data is trying to go through the VPN that can’t reconnect to save anyone. The same thing will happen when I use the VPN most: at school. At school I would prefer to use data all the time, but it’s a concrete building so that doesn’t work out too great. So I connect to the WiFi with the VPN on. When I go to attempt this. I press connect, my phone disconnects from the WiFi, the VPN connects, my phone connects to the WiFi, and it works. 1/20 times. Whoever came up with that system of connecting frustrates me. Because here’s what really happens: it disconnects from the WiFi, the VPN never connects, and my phone never reconnects to the WiFi and I just don’t have any data or WiFi for the rest of the day if I don’t remember the VPN is still on and that’s why nothing’s going through. I’m at school so I don’t look at my phone a lot, but when I do I don’t realize the VPN’s blocking all data. So yeah. It works only if you have good internet connection, but when it does work it doesn’t slow down much, probably because it only works on good internet.
