Learn American English Podcast

Thank you for your hard and daily work. I’m immigrant, came to the United States 2 years ago. I didn’t English before just simple stuff. First I took English classes in local Core English school and then got my first real job. I was a truck driver and every day I listened your podcasts. After 14 months I changed my job and now I work in office in American company. It’s still hard for me working with English speakers every day and talk a lot per day. But I still learn language with you. Usually listen podcasts during drive to work and back to home. Your project helped me a lot and continues to do that. Thank you again! For your support I bought subscription and share with my friends about your podcast and app. I wish growing up and still doing this amazing stuff.

VOA English teaches me a vibrantly live language and keeps me up to date with world news, giving me political, economic, social attitude which in turn, expands my general knowledge. This adds heaps of raw material for my brain to live my time thinking and make my own ideas. I hope to be able to add to my general knowledge and change myself for a better world.

I found VOA 5 years ago & it has been helping me a lot for my own learning English. I love all subjects its program. By reading & listening along, VOA helps me improving my grammar & accent, expanding my vocabularies & my knowledge. It’s not only helping me to learn English, it also helps me to learn American history, culture, economic, music, etc...My clients who American’s & I sometimes talk about American’s history & they said “Wow, you know American’s history better than us” I love to learn most things, especially history, so American history in VOA is my favorite one. I have been lived in the U.S 10 years, and I have to say, if I know about VOA sooner, my English is much better than now. Learning English on VOA program, for me it’s the best way to learn a new language. I was a reporter in Vietnam, so I want to keep up my writing, even though I don’t think I am able to do this job again here. But as I said I am a learner, I love to learn. In fact, things always change, so I never stop learning. My writing has not improved in English yet, but I’ll keep it up by reading & listening VOA, hopefully some days, it’ll be better.
