Kijiji: Buy & Sell, find deals

When I lived in Ontario this app was the go to place to adopt the cutest pets, so many beautiful breeds and at reasonable prices too! A Pom would only cost $650 where as in the U.S they go for upwards of $1,000 + and that’s on an AVERAGE. It also allowed many to avoid Craigslist as it can be fairly sketchy to some if unaware of how to navigate it correctly especially when it comes to the adoption of pets, many cheap and non vetted animals being sold or flat out given away for free.. very disheartening, established preservation breeders whom aim to preserve the beauty of purebreds are removed from CL yet the ones giving away a ringworm infested cat stay active.. very sad. I never once not ONCE adopted an animal intended to be my pet from Kijiji that was infested with contagious disease, for that purpose alone I’m giving 5 stars! I now reside in Arizona United States and WISH this app was also available to the United States hopefully perhaps someday you’ll expand? Until then I unfortunately just have Craigslist as the highest traffic searched site in terms of rehoming my Persian kittens to which I’ve found great homes for most.. but I’d love to price them more effectively in an outwardly way and only Kijiji as of currently will allow this.

I would give Kijiji a 4 Star review, but they promote illegal posts, especially in the rental housing section. Their filters are awful there as well - because they allow posts that lie about their category. So if you are looking for an apartment - thousands of users post under apartments… for sublets and room rentals. And you can’t filter any of that out. And you always see posts saying “women only” “students only” “men only” - which is 100% illegal: You can’t discriminate on sex, job, lifestyle for renting. I’ll continue to report Kijiji and other similar apps to business, housing, and government watchdogs. There is also no easy way to report users, and it shouldn’t be my job to do so. Unless Kijiji wants to pay me. Generically Kijiji is OK as a buying and selling site. I do like it better than other apps, but they are all doing the same thing and promoting or ignoring illegal activity. If Kijiji responds to this with a message that is anything other than “we will put a stop to this” then you can ignore whatever they say as unhelpful or misinformation.

First off, after the app updated from the App Store it will not accept my password. I use the same login information on my laptop and it works. By the 3-4x trying the same information credentials it finally works. Secondly the app is very glitchy. Looking up items, the app says none available for common items. I can’t trust the app anymore. App logs me out randomly which is annoying when I’m in a chat with someone.
