I got Elvie because I was diagnosed with high tone pelvic floor dysfunction and was told the only way to cure the uti symptoms was to do physical therapy. I am not a lady that is comfortable at the obgyn much less have a wand inserted while someone says squeeze, release, etc. so I wasn’t going to find a cure for my symptoms. But when I found out that I could do telehealth physical therapy for my pelvic floor and my therapist said to get a kegel trainer I wanted the best. And one that isn’t directed solely to post birth exercises. I was able to use insurance to cover it since it is a medical device. I’ve had major success for my symptoms and avoided future surgery because I was uncomfortable doing these exercises with a physical therapist in office. I highly recommend especially if you’ve been recommended physical therapy.
Waste of money and time. I really wanted to love this. After having it only kinda work initially, I went back and forth with customer service a few times trying to trouble shoot. I tried all of their suggestions and became so frustrated that it didn’t work for me, I put it aside for a while. When I tried again I had the same problems. The gem moves when I squeeze it in my hand, but not for kegels. Customer service gave me the same suggestions again and, when I told them it still didn’t work, they sent me a new one. Same problems. I thought it was something I was doing wrong and really wanted to do whatever it took to resolve my issues. I hired a pelvic floor physical therapist who helped me strengthen my muscles and learn proper technique. I also tried a Perifit, which works great for me. The elvie still didn’t work for me at all. I contacted support again and was told to do all the same stuff I’d been told before. They refused to refund me because I was past the warranty time, even though I’d been in nearly constant contact with them for months trying to resolve this, for a second time. Get a Perifit. They’re cheaper and work way better!!!! I would never recommend elvie to anyone. Waste of money.
I’ve known for a long time that kegels are important for female health: to keep from leaking (like when you sneeze or jump), strengthen orgasms, increase energy but until I got Elvie I could not commit to kegels. Partly because I know if you do them incorrectly you can actually cause damage to the muscles of the pelvic floor causing weaker PC muscles but also because I could not tell if I was making progress so I would get bored and stop. With Elvie you are literally playing a video game with your vagina. Each time you squeeze or relax in the right way you see a little ball on the screen move accordingly (think old school coin op space ship games but instead of using your fingers on keys or a joy stick you are breathing and squeezing and relaxing your vagina muscles. It’s actually so fun to see your progress and have it tracked with numbers. Elvie even keeps track of your progress so you keep beating your “scores” and improve. Now I can’t wait to do my kegels! I just hope they add more features like squeeze to shoot an alien and little sounds that reward your brain for doing it right!! Love this. Making health and pleasure fun. Thank you!
