After having a robotic radical prostatectomy, my doc emphasized how important kegal exercises are in getting through incontinence. I thought it would be easy to do these several times a day. They are easy but the hard part is to REMEMBER to do them! Luckily I found this app early in my recovery! You can set how many, length of time for both the contraction and rest periods, number of sets per day and when. The app reminds you when it’s time time to exercise. It times your contractions by signaling you with both audible and haptic tones. I credit this app in getting me out of those pads much sooner than I expected, couple weeks not months! It’s now a year since my surgery and I continue to use the app for a session or 2 every couple of days to continue totally successful recovery! I Highly recommend everyone going through this procedure to download and use this app!! It will help both your physical and mental recovery.
I started using this app as part of physical therapy prior to radical Prostate surgery. I was having a hard time counting and squeezing and recording progress. I figured the must be an app... and after looking at several it is clear that Easy Kegel is extremely well designed to help encourage regular exercise, set up timed sequences, and record efforts. The interface is just right, not over designed, but well thought out, clear and beautifully minimal. My robotically assisted surgery was successful, and after a week and my catheter was removed I started kegels again. Decided to pay for the app, not because I needed to change the color (as I guy I had gotten use to the pink interface!) but to support such good design of an incredibly helpful tool. Thank you Easy Kegel. Two weeks after surgery I basically have no issues with continence, (a big concern before going into surgery) and will continue to use the app to help maintain confidence and control.
Having just had my prostate removed I was surprised to find that I now had a serious incontinence problem! Not being one to do nothing when a problem arises, I seriously tried to adamantly do the Kegel exercises throughout the day. I’m 72 yrs old now and I’m not as sharp as I once was so the app really helps me stay the course throughout each set of exercises. I set up the reps in the app so that they were in line with my doctors orders so I could forget about how many I’d done or even having to count while I’m doing them. All I have to remember now is to do them throughout the day and for a $3 dollar upgrade the app will do that also. Without any upgrade the app will log your time doing the exercises and keep a running chart of your progress. I’ve come a long way in a short time by using this app religiously and I’m one happy customer!
