I work for a Business that has a lot of contacts with minimal information.... for example .... Joe that works for ABC company and the last four digits of the phone number are 1234, and Joe that works for XYZ company with the last four digits of the phone number of 4321..... these factors are not sufficient enough for CircleBack when it routinely applies housekeeping maintenance ...additional fields are too insignificant for CircleBack.... CircleBack routinely attempts to merge contact numbers with similar minimal information even though there is a sufficient difference... I have hundreds of contacts with this kind of minimal information..... I have hundreds of contacts that are now messed up because there are too many phone numbers for me to police when CircleBack is requesting assistance while doing routine consolidation of contacts.... there are fields that contain unique information that CircleBack ignores .... I did not realize that CircleBack was not paying attention to all of the data in all of the fields, like, “Job Title” for instance.... If the Joe in ABC company is a Supervisor and the Joe in XYZ Company is a Territory Manager, CircleBack does not look at these fields when considering or asking for assistance in merging contacts....CircleBack also did not create a backup file of my business card scans when they recently updated.... all my business card scans were lost and are unretrievable ... it is my opinion that you should not consider this app if you have minimal contact information on entries with unique distinctions in fields that are not in the “ basic three” first, last, and phone number.....especially if you have a massive contact list like me .... I have over a thousand phone numbers.... hundreds of my contacts are corrupted by CircleBack because it does not look at all the contact information on a file entry...not to mention my business card scans that I have collected over the course of years... CircleBack is not sophisticated enough to look and distinguish between minimal contact entries...
I really loved this app until I upgraded phones and have not been able to log back in due to wrong password. I have sent numerous reset password requests and the hyperlinks D’O not work. I have contacted the support services via email because there is no contact number. This has been going on for 3 months and I still cannot get help!!! A follow up review to a previous review. I wrote the previous review due to frustration. However, the problem was resolved by their support services. I highly recommend CircleBack to anyone wanting a simplified app in keeping up with your contacts.
Alone of all the Contacts apps this remarkable address book will update changes in contact info, such as telephone number, addresses, and job data, through sophisticated web searches. These data changes are periodically presented for user inspection and approval and updating. PROBLEM ISSUES: UPDATING: If you are unsure of the update info and select that option, no changes will be made, but you also lose the new data and it does not appear to be retrievable. This new data should be stored in a buffer to allow you edit and change contact at will, and only permanently delete when you finalize contact. NOTES: This is a real deal breaker - Less than hundred words are maintained from original Apple Contact Notes. CircleBack appears to truncate the full length of the Contact Notes. This is totally unacceptable and dooms this app to infrequent use, rather than being a primary go-to app. Until they fix this I’ll use it for updating contacts, but little else. Too bad!
