Roadie Delivery

I’m not sure where these reviews are coming from but I would highly recommend drivers go with another delivery company. Roadie pays very little and they do not have a solid tracking system to verify if orders are actually available for their drivers to pick up from the starting location! There are too many third parties involved. It’s like jumping through hoops! Ex: I had a pick up for a prescription at Walgreens in Florence, AZ. So when I arrived, I still had over 30 minutes to deliver to the destination which was the Florence Prison. I gave the pharmacist the customer’s name and DOB. She confirmed the name in her system but said that there was no prescription placed. This was at 6:15pm. So I called the third party @ 6:17pm and they couldn’t figure it out and I explained to them that my app has me delivering the meds no later than 6:51pm. The third party claimed they were going to call me back. So by 6:30pm I called Roadie couldn’t get in touch with anyone and got a voicemail. Left a message. (Yes Roadie isn’t always available when you call). Anyway to make a long story short. When I finally got a human on the phone with Roadie and explained everything, I was told that I would be paid only $8 for a courtesy pick up not the full amount of the little $24! Are you kidding me!!! No Roadie you should have a better tracking system and stop wasting your drivers time!

First let me say I really enjoy doing Roadie!!! But there are a lot of issues with the app. Every time I accept a gig , I have to take a screen shot of the order name and order number because the gig disappears when I get Home Depot store. On the occasions where I forgot to screen shot it, I have to get back in my car and leave Home Depot’s parking for it pop back up , then go back in. I’ve done over 35 gigs and when I go to Home Depot . I actually have to walk most of the employees through the process if you guys need someone to provide training for Home Depot i can do it in Florida 🙋🏻‍♀️. Typically when there is an issue with it disappearing on my end ,Home Depot has an issue through their interface as well . Because of all this my miles are never reflected properly. Also it is very hard to reach a live person when you contact the “help” number . If you need more staff for this in Florida I’m also willing to help. Overall I love this company and I hope to see these issues worked out to streamline this process for both drivers and the companies Initiating the delivery request.

I used roadie as a driver this past week while I was driving from Colorado to Pennsylvania visiting family. I highly recommend it! I was able to pick up rides along my route that paid for my gas/tolls/hotels. I do wish they would fix the glitches. I noticed for example when you click on a past conversation it says that the gig is no longer available even when it is. Also there's no notification when someone answers a question that you had. I also wish you could sort the gigs by location, or how far off your route it is, or by the item's size. Also there should be a way to report senders for intentionally mislabeling the size of the item or what the item is. I noticed there were lots of gigs where the sender would mark a live animal as an object so they didn't have to pay the pet fee and there was no way to report them. Or there were also people labeling large pieces of furniture as "small" items so they wouldn't have to pay accordingly. I wish roadie would police that sort of thing more. Other than that, the app is great and has TONS of potential. I hope the word gets spread so that more people know about this!
