I’ve been using this app for about 7 months now, and it’s really great. It’s got a nice, attractive interface, and I love that it syncs across all my devices. The pro version is so much more affordable than other journaling apps, which makes journaling way more accessible to more people. I love that I can start my day’s entry on my iPad, add notes throughout the day on my phone, and then journal at the end of the day on my laptop. I only have two issues that aren’t major enough to warrant switching to another app: 1) I sometimes have sync issues where I start an entry on one device and try to pick up on another and somehow lose the whole entry. To avoid this, I make sure to have my entry have fully uploaded from one device, then force close the app on that device before opening it on the other. That’s seemed to work so far. 2) I wish there were more options for notifications. I have reminders set throughout the day to check in on what I’m grateful for etc, but even though I have notifications turned on and “sounds” selected on in my settings and my phone is not on silent, the reminders just show up quietly on my phone. I recently got an Apple Watch, and the notifications only appear silently on there. I’d really like my watch/phone to actually vibrate or make a noise to grab my attention to say “hey! What are you grateful for right now?” rather than finding the notification the next time I happen to look at my device. But other than those two things, a great app!

I have had this app for almost five years. Today I wrote my 500 entry (and I feel bad for never leaving a review). Though I just love how easy and simple it is to use. The ability to add tags, and sort with folders and it’s all completely free. Most diary and writing apps believe or not you need a subscription. I couldn’t even lock those apps without paying. And for free, this app supports Touch ID and you can have a passcode. Minor details that I like is the ability to change the UI color and font style. A feature that they recently added was that you can go back a year or two on that day of the year to read what you written. That’s my favorite feature, and has made me want to write more often so I always have something to look back on. The app also has a character and word count, which is useful, since I have a goal of writing a minimum of 1,500 words everyday. I don’t need the pro version as the app offer so much for free, but I would buy it just to support the developers. I love this app, and I highly recommend it for whatever you plan to write.

I downloaded this app at the beginning of the year. I wasn’t much into journaling but wanted to find a substitute to posting on social media as I gave it up. I didn’t expect to enjoy this app as much as I have or utilize as much as I did! I loved being able to journal about my adventures or the most mundane of days, upload pictures to my entries (even memes), creative write, quotes, poems, fascinating stories, write out my goals and the progression of it, and most recently at the end of this year be able to look back and reflect on all the changes that have occurred, how my goals progressed and changed, laugh at some stuff, high 5 myself for making it through others, relive some of the adventures I’ve been on, and even see how my mindset has and hasn’t changed. I love the layout of this app, the ease of use and posting, uploading pics, and how easy it is to scroll through my posts and categorize them. I like how you can choose your mood, location, temp, and little personalized touches you can add. These little details add to some of the entries I’ve made. I was app happy this year, and this is definitely one of my favorites and most utilized, if not my most favorite.
