I have had countless issues with Totalplay’s app, website, and service. Not two weeks goes by where we do not have an issue with our internet service or an issue with paying for our internet package and it wastes hours of my time being on the phone with support trying to get the issue resolved. Totally will also throttle your bandwidth even if you pay for high speed data you might not have the speed you are paying for. Not a great option for working from home or gaming.
Adding stars because the developers have been addressing some issues in the app updates, so they seem to be reading these reviews. Thanks! This is my major lingering complaint: I receive billing notifications (which I want) and marketing notifications (which I do not want). The app should allow the user to control which types of notifications they receive. All you can do now is enable/disable ALL notifications in iOS settings.
What everyone else is saying is true - users are being asked for sensitive biometric data just to be able to watch TV! Nothing works otherwise. One must send a secondary verification, then change password and pin, then scan face to be able to access the app's features. To be clear, Total Play isn't a bank, but it demands greater disclosure of personal data than most banks to use the app. Also troubling that my first review (which detailed the app's unreasonable demands for personal data once the app stopped allowing access otherwise) has been deleted. This may not be a scam, like some have alleged, but it likely has been reported to PROFECO or other consumer protection authorities. Be careful.
