SonoPhone for Sonos

You did what the entire Sonos Corporation had me thinking was IMPOSSIBLE! You gave me a way to control my Sonos System without having an aneurism every 5 minutes! Thank you! I sometimes compare this app to controlling my music on the Sonos app and I laugh so hard. While the Sonos app is still displaying a song that played 20 minutes ago and is basically useless, SonoPhone is effortlessly displaying the correct song, is loaded to the correct part of the song that is playing, and allows me to change the song if I want. If you told me 10 years ago that these basic features are things I would one day pray for, I’d be flabbergasted but here we are. I can’t thank you enough for giving me the ability to still use my Sonos system in my house that I’ve had for 15+ years. I do not exaggerate when I say - I thought I was going to have to sell/ donate my system. It’s been almost 5 months and the Sonos app still hardly functions. Thank you a million times over!! Best $2.99 I have ever spent in my entire life.

I have had sonos since 2006. For xmas, I upgraded my system and bought 10 speakers , sub , bar, etc. This is the FIRST TIME ALL OF MY PRODUCTS WORK TOGETHER! I used to rave about Sonos. Now all my friends see is me cussing them out because there is NO MUSIC at a party! Then I miss part of the party because I’m determined and fail each time. All of my friends have the same issue. Its gotten so bad that we give each other Sonos Life Hacks. I’ve spent a few grand, and wish someone filed a class action lawsuit. Their developers should be fired. How does my Sonos work perfectly with a NONSONOS app??!! Explain that Sonos. I went from being obsessed and addicted to Sonos to never playing music. Because it either doesn’t work or drops a random speaker. Then takes you thru what feels like 50M ways to reconnect your 1 speaker. After it failing 20 times, and hardwiring with an eth . but then drops a different product. I feel like it’s a practical joke. I’ve literally never gone from loving a brand and being a salesperson to hating them, and I don’t hate anyone or anything. I can truly say I hate Sonos. Stay away if you are considering buying a system. Big thank you to this developer for giving us a solution that Sonos, the company itself, couldnt give us. Sonos gave us a controller where there is so much information all over the place and the organization makes no sense. It’s confusing and useless. How about you give us a controller that works all of your products seamlessly.!

It’s mind boggling that an independent app writer can do what a multibillion dollar company cannot and make an app that actually works and is responsive. This app is far superior in pretty much every way to Sonos’ official app, down to little niceties such as the icons representing speakers in your system looking like they *actually* do in the real world (as of this writing, the official app has the exact same generic icon for every speaker in your system). The only issue I have is the absence of a few features such as a sleep timer or alarms. If you don’t use those features then this is 100% a 5-star app, and a steal at only $3.
