Note 1) Same thing everyone else is saying really, extremely high amounts of bachelor degree jobs, little to no actual filtering with education and experience available, very poor app design, if your reading this you were probably doing better throwing your application into the void of indeed, at least it wasn’t paid. Note 2) Okay tried the webpage out a bit more, come to this conclusion, the recommendation/we’ll get you jobs you qualify for feature does not work, however these do seem to have direct links to these companies so it is definitely better than applying on indeed. I’ll do this, if I get more responses per application on here then indeed the rating should read four stars, if I get no different it should be two. Note 3) Promise is a promise, if it’s auto match feature, the thing they’re selling that matches you with the job you qualify for worked it’d be a five, but I get more responses and they genuinely seem to have jobs that’d are hiring, I’d recommend this if your looking for a job right now but willing to search for it.
I have a paid annual subscription but I will be cancelling it. I was referred to FlexJobs by my Alma mater and had alumni benefits to get a discount, but even with that it is not worth paying for it. I think if you dig deep into what you are looking for, and just keep scrolling for ages until your arms hurt, you may find what you need. Having said that, it’s going to take a long time to find a role that is a good fit for me because the filters don’t work great and thus I have to scroll past dozens of listings that I literally filter out (filter out senior roles and that seems to be all I get) to get to one mediocre listing that I don’t qualify for. There also seem to be many outdated listings that were posted months ago. I turned off all notifications because I only got them for completely irrelevant roles that don’t match the keywords or even industry that I set them for. They also send them to you all at once so you get 10 notifications for nothing except anxiety lol. The only thing I would say is there are a lot of remote roles and they seem to be more legit/less chance they are spam listings. However given all the above inefficiency and annoyance it’s much easier to take the risk on LinkedIn or indeed if you can at least see roles that match what you’re looking for.
I paid for the week but found maybe one or two jobs that I could apply to. I also had issues with searching in the app itself. But I only know this after I already paid. I get that you offer a better experience etc and you want to be compensated for that but I feel like you guys are trying to protect yourselves and make sure that you’re good instead of actually caring about your customers and helping them literally change their lives. There is no reason you cannot give a 24-48hr free trial. Or are we concerned that people will find and apply for a job within that time, delete that app and you won’t make money? What about $10 a month? Or whatever you want it to be. What about allowing people to look at jobs but pay a fee for each application? There are so many options that allow you to make money while also being realistic because I bet If the roles were reversed, many of you would probably be complaining about the same thing. All im saying is, If your app is as amazing as you say, then prove it. Allow people to experience what they are getting into. If it’s as good as you say, people will have no problem paying for a premium product. But people have to be able to decide that for themselves and not just cause it said so in the app description or review section.
